The kind king

The Kind King

There was once a kind king. He was so kind, he gave everyone Land and Money until it was all gone. The country he reigned over was now not existing anymore, instead everyone of the former citizens were owning a piece of it.
The people got mad at the king, because he gave it to them without thinking of the consequences. They blamed him for the crisis they are in now. There was no country, no money and everyone was the same. Everyone owned the same amount of money and the same amount of land. Nobody knew what to do and everyone argued about how to live from now on.
People became to be greedy. They desired what the others had, though they all had the same. The land each person got was not enough to live independent. The people begun to build walls and fences around their land so no one comes to steal it.
In all this chaos the kind king who was not a king of a country or people anymore did nothing but wait. Then, one day, the people of his former country came for him, blaming him more than ever before. They said they will get rid of him and make him pay for what he did to them.
But then the kind king talked to them. He offered each of them to give up their land an money again to make it all undone. But nobody wanted to be the only one to give his land and money away. The greed was getting so big that the people went nuts.
The people stood before a big problem and nobody knew how to fix it, so they asked the kind king to do something about it. Now the kind king wanted all of them to pull down their walls and fences and make this country united again, the money should go back to the government and there will be taxes and laws again. Nobody answered to the kind kings asking, they called him a cruel king to take away all their wealth and to put up taxes and laws for them. They said a person like him should not be their king. So the kind king asked them to vote a new king.
Everyone voted, everyone voted for themselves, there was no new king. Then the people said, whoever the strongest amongst them should be the king. So they fought against each other. Until it was declared who was the strongest of them all. He should be the new king. The kind king gave him crown and title of the king that did not have any country or any wealth. The kind king was given the money and land of the new king.
Now the new king was homeless and did not own anything besides a crown and a title. Greedy as he was he began to take peoples land and money by force, one by one. He turned out to be the tyrann king.
He made allies and together they ruled over the country with brutal force and laws nobody could get away from. The taxes were so high that the people hungered and the living was hard. All of them thought back to the time where the kind king was still ruling over the country. They hated the kind king, its his fault this all happened. If the kind king had not been so kind to give the land and the money to them this all would never have happened.
Again the people went to speak to the king, who was one of them now, living poor and alone. The people blamed him to having brought this over them. That they have to suffer now because of his mistakes.
Then the king simply smiled at them and said they should be happier with the situation, after all, they chose it themselves. After hearing this the people got angry and in their anger they dragged the old king to the current king and wanted him to execute the king. Then the new king asked them, why they would not do that themselves. They told the king that they could not kill a person that did gift them land and money. So the new king agreed that he'd be executing the king.
After the kings death nothing changed. People died from hunger and the new king reigned the country to his wishes.
Soon the people would realise they brought this onto themselves. Their greed and selfishness made this situation. But then, it was already too late. Their only way to get out of this was to kill the new king and vote a new, kind king. Their fate was in their hand, by chance they learned from this and live in a united and happy country together.
